WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST VISIT
When you phone or drop in, you’ll speak to Amanda, our wonderful manager. Feel free to have a good long chat to her about your concerns as she will communicate to Dr Sherry or Dr Emmaneuel and Jasmine what you need when you’re in for your appointment.
Your first appointment is always an extended consult so you have time to ask any questions. You will never leave Gentle Dental feeling rushed out the door.
SLEEP AKA SEDATION DENTISTRY
Our gentle dentists are experts in dealing with those who are extremely nervous. Gentle Dental now has the facilities to offer IV sedation to assist you to get your dental work done. IV sedation is also known as sleep or sedation dentistry, because you’re conscious but don’t remember the procedure. It is a great option for people who have a lot of work that needs to be done and want to get it all done in one session, without having to be aware of the procedure!
If this is the option for you, then our lovely Dr Emmanuel is the main provider of these services. Book in on a Friday for an examination, Xrays and then he can discuss your treatment plan. He will explain everything in detail with an open discussion for any questions you may have and there is absolutely no pressure to go ahead with treatment if you don’t want to.
MEDICAL HISTORY FORM PDF
Feel free to print out and bring in our medical history form, otherwise we will provide you one to fill out on the day of your appointment. If you have an extensive medical history and medication list, please provide us with that as well. The more information we have about you, the better!
We have an entertainment system with a TV on the roof and headphones for longer appointments. Feel free to request whether you would like to watch a TV series, movie or prefer to listen to music.
After every scale and clean, we love to provide our patient’s with goodie bags with products that help maintain good oral hygiene!

YOUR CHILD’S FIRST DENTAL VISIT
We see children from about 18 months of age for their first dental visit. At this age it’s more about getting them used to the dental environment and also for the parents to discuss with Dr Sherry any concerns they have.
